As an intern and associate, Dr. Leighton developed a passion for helping women during their pregnancy and postpartum phase by utilizing chiropractic care and acupuncture. She then decided to open her own clinic in Naperville dedicated to women’s health, prenatal and postpartum care, and pediatrics. Dr. Leighton has since complemented her practice by completing her credentials as an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC). After 13 years in the Chicagoland area, she and her family have moved back to Michigan. Dr. Leighton looks forward to practicing and sharing her passion for maternal and infant health in the SW Michigan area.

In addition to general pediatric chiropractic care, Dr. Leighton has completed extensive training is co-managing tethered oral tissues with various providers in the Chicagoland and SW Michigan areas such as pediatric dentists, ENTs, lactation consultants and pediatricians. As a mom to two kiddos who have also suffered the consequences of both lip and posterior tongue ties, she knows the frustration of infant feeding issues and the stress of oral tie release procedures firsthand. She is here to support you and your family as you navigate pregnancy, infancy, breastfeeding, and toddlerhood.

Outside of the office, Dr. Leighton enjoys spending time with her husband and children, spending time at her family’s lakehouse in northern Michigan, and being active outdoors.
